NMI’s two year Diploma in Media has been approved by Afghanistan’s Education Ministries and has a high success rate for students obtaining jobs in the media.
The curriculum advisory board consists of leaders from Afghan broadcast companies and the curriculum has been developed to international standard by Steve Ahern of the Australian broadcast training company AMT Pty Ltd.
NMI is a vocational institute recognized by the media industry as a provider of quality, professional standard studies for radio, television and online broadcasters and journalists.
NMI is registered with the Ministry of Information and Culture, in collaboration with the Education and Higher Education Ministries. It is based in Kabul, with agencies in Herat, Qandahar, Jalalabad and Mazar E Sharif.
NMI is a training business established by Nai, a well recognized NGO which has played an important role in educating journalists and advocating for media development in Afghanistan since 2005. It is supported by funding from Internews and draws on respected Afghan and international trainers.
Nai has a large and distinguished alumni of graduates who are now working in all media within Afghanistan. Students in the Diploma in Media course will connect with these alumni while they are doing their course.
